Greetings All,
It's been some time since I have blogged-please forgive me-but I'm back!!! I'm here trying to figure out this whole thing behind being a successful blogger. I know that I have to do some extensive research and promote myself, so for now, I'm here to say that I have committed to being back on my grind! And I thank you for being patient.

I have so many things for sale right now. Ebay has limited my selling capacity due to me being a "new seller". So far, I have been doing pretty well. Please see the following link to my items for sale.

Goddess

Hello All,
Last week, I was blessed to be asked to be a part of local Fashion Designer/Makeup Artist/Hairstylist Tristan Blake's "Beauty" photoshoot and it was a load of fun. I was pleasantly surprised that we did hair & makeup and completed the shoot in less than 4 hours. How amazing is that? I have to commend Tristan Blake for his meticulous eye and fierce brush technique. Needless to say......"He can Beat a Face Down". **Translation: He does amazing makeup! Here are the pics that I liked:

Beyonce makes history at 2010 Grammy Awards

Hello All,

I believe that I am one of Beyonce's biggest fans and have to give Bey the homage that she deserves!! This incredible artist wears so many hats: producer, singer, songwriter, performer, dancer, actress, philanthropist, fragrance maker, designer, friend, wife, daughter, cousin, aunt, etc. Gosh....how can one woman be so many things and still maintain her FIERCENESS!!

I was elated to witness Beyonce make history at this year's Grammy Awards where she sealed 6 Grammy's. She is now the Record Breaking Female artist who snagged 6 Awards in one evening. I'm so proud of my Bey!!!!

Anyhow, back to what matters most: Her fashion! Let's start with the Red Carpet: I'm still not sure who designed it, but I thought that it was constructed beautifully and framed her curves to perfection!!! I was upset about not being able to see her shoes......uggghhh!! I was not too thrilled about her hair either. This lace front wig looked as if it was twisted to the side to form a side part. NEGATIVE......it was awful!! Now on to the Performance look: I know that the black dress was Versace-and check it-Rihanna wore that already!!!-, but what about the studded booties that she wore with them? Those were Fiyah!!! Ok....now we're on to her audience look: I thought that her dress was fabulous; she really knows how to pull off embellished dresses. I'm sure that she and her mother used an entire box of double-sided tape. What a genius invention!!! I wasn't that impressed with her gold sandals at all. Were you? They looked too status quo-or what I call "safe"-for the overly embellished dress. Lastly, wasn't her PDA speech sweet? She actually acknowledged her "husband" and said "I love you"...Awww........Strange'!

Wait-Wasn't Jules the cutest thing? Honestly, he looked like one of those dolls that the ventriloquist's use during their acts. Stop playing.....Didn't he though? How about his suit with his Nike Dunks? Classic!! Jay looked dapper himself. I was feeling his shoes..........nice!! Ri-Ri served it up giving the Bitch say What? Her Elie Saab number was Killer!!! What do you think about Bey, Jay, and Ri-Ri's looks? Who was your favorite on the Red Carpet? I still believe that Taylor Swift shut it down!!!

Two-Tone & Marni

After seeing the amazing Chanel two-tone tights on jak&jil's site, I immediately went on a hunt for a comparable pair. Low and behold, I was in Nordstrom, just looking around with my diva Nya, and happened to sift through a clearance bin in the hosiery department. "Voila".....I found the last pair of DKNY two-tone tights sitting there waiting for a new home.
I planned to attend my friend's party that evening, so I quickly put an outfit together that would compliment the tights.
So here I am wearing a Marni beaver coat, Fendi belt, Brioni skirt (fall 2006), DKNY tights, Chanel bag, Gucci booties (snagged at DSW), Rodarte turtleneck, Neiman Marcus two-tone patent & calf long gloves, and Forever 21 earrings & ring.
Thank you for looking and please stay warm!!! ~Anoko

One shoulder

Hi Everyone!! It's the holiday season and my social calendar is completely full! This is the time of the year when everyone is scrambling around trying to figure out what to wear to the holiday parties. I always believe that keeping it "festive" and "simple" is always the best way to go. I attended THREE parties in one evening! That's a record for me!!! The first stop was to an amazing party/charity event in Towson, MD, hosted by "Goodlife Productions".

Here I am with my little sister Ronia. I wore a vintage Carolina Herrera one shoulder dress which has the most amazing beading detailing; Nordstrom stockings, YSL pumps, Givenchy earrings, and a vintage purse.

Isn't the back amazing????? It has a keyhole with beading that surrounds the perimeter. My tailor did an amazing job tailoring this dress.
The next party was my cousin, Lola's, 25th Birthday party at Hotel Topaz in Washington, DC. Here she is wearing a DVF one shoulder dress and YSL Tributes. My sister, Latre' at Turning Point Hair Salon in Silver Spring, MD, did her hair and Tristan Blake did her makeup. Unfortunately we were late arriving and everyone was gone!
The Third party was at the newly renovated W Hotel. This venue is absolutely breathtaking. Too bad that I didn't take any scenery shots. I will next time!!!

Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!
